Writing Services
Website content/articles for web pages, etc.
You give me the topic and the basic information (or where to find it), and I will write the content for your web page(s). I will work with you throughout the process to make certain the proper key words are used for search engine optimization (SEO). Once you approve the content, I will email it to you for posting on your website.

  • Rate:  $225 per item

Professional articles for print or online publications/case summaries
Articles for legal newspapers and other types of professional publications, whether print or online, are usually in-depth and may require research. You give me the topic, we will discuss it and decide how to proceed. I will research and write the article for you, lending it your perspective and working with you throughout the process. Your final sign-off is required before the article is submitted to the publication. You will also need to provide a bio profile and photo of yourself for submission.

For case summaries, you provide me the name of the case, docket number, court, etc., and I will read, analyze and summarize the opinion. I will then email the final summary to you for posting on your website, for including in a newsletter, etc.

  • Rate:  $95 per hour (good-faith cost estimate is provided at the outset)

Blog posts & newsletter content
Blog posts and newsletter articles are straight-to-the-point “blasts” of information that use key words to enhance search engine optimization (SEO), so potential clients will find you on the Internet. A blog item or newsletter article is an excellent tool to quickly and easily publicize information that relates to your law practice.

I can write blogs and newsletter articles in several ways:
1) develop the content from scratch, such as a summary of a court opinion or legislation.
2) summarize information from an existing article that has caught your attention (the link to the original article must be provided in the content).

Either way, I will write a concise & accurate blog post or newsletter article for you. Once you approve the content, I will email the article to you for posting.

  • Rate: $195 per item

Contract for a certain number of blog posts per month at the rate of $185 per blog item.

Social Media Campaigns

Social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+) is a large part of a law firm's legal marketing strategy, and should not be overlooked. Each time you post a blog item or upload website content, a link to that content should be pushed out on your firm's social media pages. This way, more people will click on your blog post and web content, thereby driving potential clients to your website.

The same is true for articles you write and get published, and press releases about your accomplishments. These items should also be published on your social media pages.

  • Rate: $25 per campaign (collectively, and not for each account - i.e., if your firm has a Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter account, you will be charged $25 for posting to all the accounts)

Proofreading & Editing Services

Let's say you have compiled a newsletter, drafted a brief or written an article ... and now you need it reviewed by an editor. I can review your document for accuracy (including case citations where applicable), organization, transition, clarity, punctuation, grammar, spelling and Michigan Court Rule compliance (briefs only). I will suggest changes and make corrections, where necessary.

  • Rate: $95 per hour (no maximum page limit)

Press Releases & Promotion
Perhaps you want an article you've written submitted to the media outlets for consideration, or you just achieved an important verdict or settlement and want it publicized. Or maybe you've received an honor or award that you want to share with the public. I can write a press release and submit it to the proper media organizations, so you get the recognition that you deserve.

For articles, I will submit the article on your behalf, along with a press release providing an overview of the article and why it is of interest to readers. For verdicts/settlements and other news & information, I will follow the same process, with a synopsis of the relevant news.

  • Rate:  $185 per press release (includes press release, submission to media outlets and one follow-up to the media outlet)
